A day in which Japanese Kamui Kobayashi (BMW Sauber) recorded the fastest time (1:19.950).
Japan has marked the pilot ”in extremis” the fastest lap of the session in Jerez, outperforming the Toro Rosso of Sebastien Buemi (1:20.026) and McLaren’s Jenson Button (1:20.618), second and third respectively in a day when the weather went along, keeping the track dry and allowing work to the best teams.

Sauber also said drivers Pedro de la Rosa and Kamui Kobayashi are not bringing any sponsors to their seats. “Neither of them has brought money. I hired them only because of their achievements.”
I’m very proud of Kobayashi. Peter Sauber is very brave man too. He runs F1 business difference from other team. I wish him successes and I hope Panasonic will agree to sponsor Sauber Team.
