Kobayashi´s first points this weekend in Abu Dhabi

“It was a really good race for me,” he said. “At the start I overtook Raikkonen and that was important in the end because it would have been difficult to finish in the top six if I had been behind him during the first stint. When I got past I was confident I had the race pace to fight for the points and my target was to be consistently fast.
“The team did a great job with the strategy and the pit stop which played a big part in helping me finish in the points. I certainly wasn’t expecting to be racing in Formula One this season and I want to say thank you to Toyota for this opportunity. My target was to finish in the points today but I am a bit surprised to be in the top six. This is a fantastic result and I am extremely happy.”

Good work! again, fantastic to watch you race, and overtake both the ‘07 WDC and ‘09 WDC. I hope this performance has helped seal a full time drive for the 2010 season. Hope to see you on the grid, mixing it up in 2010!

Pleasure to watch you drive, again.

Awesome driving and beautiful overtaking moves, Kamui! You seem to be at one with machine, able to push the limits and ’squeeze the fear’. Reminds me of the legendary Gilles Villeneuve… See you in 2010!

Kamui,

Great job in the final two races! I loved watching you fight with Jenson at Brazil. You drove brilliantly and made him look foolish in turn one a few times. And you did even better at Abu Dhabi. Superb driving! I hope you find a ride for the 2010 season, you’ve got the talent to make it big.

You are a very impressive rookie, with a lot of self control and bravery. I hope Toyota will continue next year, but if they don’t, I hope you will find another team because you deserve a drive next year.

Kamui, you were so impressive in your only two GP’s. Now that it seems that Toyota won’t be in F1 next year, I really hope some one else recognizes your talent.

Hope you can gather all the conditions to find yourself a place in one of the teams for 2010 season.
